Glee Romance Scoop!

Kristin Dos Santos from E!Online interviewed some of the cast of Glee on the happenings of next season and part of the discussion was on the Finn & Rachel storyline. Here are some of the quotes:

Brad Falchuk: “That relationship is so much pushing and pulling and pursuing and going after each other. And now they’re together. So this season, it’s delving into two worlds that are really trying to meld together, it’s the slusher (and the) slushee. What happens when those two, Romeo and Juliet, fall in love? And we’re also exploring the Rachel character who wants things so much. And what happens when the girl who wants things so much gets the things she wants? I think that’s going to be really hard for that kind of girl. So we’re excited to write for those two. And they will stay together. They will stay together.”

Cory Monteith on Whether He’s Excited to Have Gotten the Girl: “Oh yeah. Yes. Definitely. I’m all about ‘Finnchel.’ It sounds like a pastry doesn’t it?” When I told the crowd Cory would be opening his chain of Finnchel’s doughnut shops as a rival to Winchell’s very soon, he cracked: “Definitely! Look for it in February!” and added that a Finnchel is a “delicious almond pastry with frosting on top.” Buy your stock now!

Lea Michele on Getting to Play a Happy Couple: “I’m really excited. I think it’s gonna be interesting to see what Rachel is like in a relationship as someone’s girlfriend. I don’t know, Ryan. I don’ t know how long we can make this one last!”

Executive Producer Ryan Murphy: “One of the things I love about [Finn and Rachel] is how different they are. And how does a couple, when they lose, how do they react? Do they fight about it? Do they love each other more? I know people love Lea and Cory together and so we are giving them what they want.”

Ryan on Whether the Virginity Lies Will Rear Their Ugly Heads and Cause Problems: “They may. They may. We’ll see.”

For the record, Lea Michele did not burst into song on Thursday morning when she learned of her Emmy nomination for her work on “Glee.” “I’m on my summer break,” she said in a telephone interview.

But Ms. Michele, who just wrapped her first season playing the scene-stealing, self-promoting Rachel Berry on that Fox musical comedy, isn’t tired of hearing good news announced by others. “No!” she told this reporter when asked if she was sick of being congratulated. “Keep going, keep going.”

Meet the Special Guests Singing on Season Two of ‘Glee’

Rollingstone.com has a break down of the some of the guest appearances that are going to be on Glee this season. Here is what they have shared:

GUEST APPEARANCES

Charice Pempengco (American Idol) as a Filipino foreign exchange student whose killer pipes challenge New Directions’ brightest star, Rachel Berry.

Chord Overstreet (iCarly) as Sam, who becomes a rival for New Directions lead guy Finn after Finn takes the fellow athlete under his wing. This role was originally rumored to be a love interest for Chris Colfer’s Kurt Hummel.

John Stamos (Full House) as a dentist-turned-love interest for sweet guidance counselor Emma Pilsbury, who spent much of Season One infatuated with glee club advisor Will Schuester.

Cheyenne Jackson (30 Rock) as the new coach of Vocal Adreneline

Idina Menzel (Wicked) – Glee creator Ryan Murphy has said Menzel will return as Shelby Corcoran, Rachel Berry’s biological mother. This time, though, she won’t be coaching New Directions’ rival glee club, Vocal Adrenaline.

Kristin Chenoweth (Wicked) as the boozy April Rhodes, who enjoyed glory as a member of New Directions when current director Will Schuester was in high school. Things went downhill after that, and Rhodes’ two appearances in Season One dealt with her attempting to rediscover her former glory. Creator Ryan Murphy has said Chenoweth will reprise her role in Season Two.

Cory Monteith, Mark Salling, Chris Colfer and Kevin McHale will assist ‘Teenage Dream’ singer during August 9 show.

Katy Perry might have two types of teenage dreams when she hosts the Teen Choice Awards next month. Not only is she thinking about singing the title track from her forthcoming album Teenage Dream as part of the night’s entertainment, she’ll have some dreamy male company that evening: The male stars of “Glee” have been announced as co-hosts for the August 9 show.

reports that Cory Monteith, Mark Salling, Chris Colfer and Kevin McHale will help Perry out with hosting duties on the program, during which Jason Derulo and Travie McCoy will perform.

In addition to her hosting duties, Perry, McCoy’s ex, will also sing a song off her new album, which comes out August 24. “I think I might be doing the second single off the record, ['Teenage Dream']. It’d be a great place … at the Teen Choice Awards because I think a lot of kids are falling in love and they will relate to that song,” she explained. “That song is kind of like feeling that way when you were a teenager: really emotional, really invested.”

“Glee” is up for a number of Teen Choice Surfboards. All the male cast members received nominations, as did their co-stars Jane Lynch and Lea Michele. The show is up for the Choice TV Show: Comedy award.

Sandra Bullock, “Gossip Girl” Leighton Meester and “Twilight” stars Robert Pattinson and Ashley Greene are all set to on the show. And big names who might bring home surfboards include Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, Miley Cyrus, Taylor Swift and the stars of “New Moon.”

While there’s no word on what the hosting style of the “Glee” guys will be like, Perry wants people to know that she plans to look great all night. “I mean, I always have a fantastic time hosting these types of things,” Perry said. “[I] pull out costume after costume after costume.”
