Although we’re only five episodes in, Glee‘s second season has stirred up quite the debate from even the most die-hard of fans thus far: To theme episode or not to theme episode? If you’re leaning towards the latter, sorry, but you’ll have to wait another week, because tonight Glee returns (did you miss it?) with the much-anticipated “The Rocky Horror Glee Show,” a New Directions take on the cult classic. Luckily, it appears that McKinley’s glee club is tackling the cult musical, which means the performances will be integrated a bit more seamlessly — and realistically — then, say, a hallucinogenic trip to the dentist. (Unless Ryan Murphy pulls a Darlton and they’re all dead.)
Does anyone want to guess as to how they got these songs past Principal Figgins and Coach Sylvester? Who are you most excited to see in their Rocky Horror roles: Kurt as Riff Raff, Finn as Brad Majors, or a shirtless (and pants-less?) Sam as Rocky? After hearing that the role of Dr. Frank-N-Furter was originally intended for John Stamos, are you excited or a little let down that Mercedes will be filling Tim Curry’s shoes tonight? Fret not, Stamos lovers, because Dr. Carl is still returning to battle for Emma’s heart (Sorry Will, but Uncle Jesse can be my teddy bear any day) and will make his singing debut on tonight’s episode. Looks like Carl’s singing might have a better effect on Emma than Will’s “Thong Song,” as Emma’s “Touch-a Touch-a Touch-a Touch Me” is a sign that she’s making some progress with regards to her intimacy issues.
What say you, PopWatchers? Will “The Rocky Horror Glee Show” be the best Glee episode ever? What do you think about the idea of a full length Rocky Horror remake? And when is Puck getting out of juvie? After you watch the episode, head back here to let us know what you think, and don’t forget to look for Tim Stack’s full recap after midnight.
I have been waiting for official word on this, but here we go:
Marc Malkin from E!Online has spread the word that Lea is in final talks to star in a follow-up to the hit film Valentine’s Day called New Years Eve. The film will be directed by the great Gerry Marshall. Zac Efron is also rumored to be in talks to star.
This could be super exciting!
Michael Ausiello let us know that Glee is releasing a Christmas Album! Wahoo! I am quite excited about this as Christmas is my favorite time of year! And he has even given us the track listing!
If you listen very closely in the next few seconds, you’re likely to hear a strange and wondrous noise: the sound of Gleeks everywhere tearing open their letters to Santa. Why? To update their wish lists!
Sources confirm to me exclusively that the Fox hit is releasing a Christmas album featuring the cast (and k.d. lang!) singing covers of 12 holiday classics. The disc is set to drop on Nov. 16 — three weeks ahead of a special Glee Yuletide episode (airing on Dec. 7.)
A complete track listing is below. Beware: It includes what I believe to be a major spoiler about the identity of Kurt’s boyfriend!
1. We Need A Little Christmas (Jenna Ushkowitz, Amber Riley, Chris Colfer)
2. Deck The Rooftop (Lea Michele, Cory Monteith, Naya Rivera, Kevin McHale, Heather Morris, and Jenna Ushkowitz)
3. Merry Christmas Darling (Lea Michele)
4. Baby, It’s Cold Outside (Chris Colfer and Darren Criss)
5. The Most Wonderful Day Of The Year (Chord Overstreet, Mark Salling, Kevin McHale, Lea Michele, Chris Colfer, Jenna Ushkowitz, and Heather Morris)
6. Last Christmas (Lea Michele, Cory Monteith, Amber Riley, Kevin McHale, Mark Salling, Jenna Ushkowitz, and Chris Colfer)
7. God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen (Lea Michele, Amber Riley, Naya Rivera, and Jenna Ushkowitz)
8. O Christmas Tree (Matthew Morrison)
9. Jingle Bells (Cory Monteith, Mark Salling, and Kevin McHale)
10. You’re a Mean One, Mr. Grinch (k.d. lang and Morrison)
11. Angels We Have Heard On High (Amber Riley)
12. O Holy Night (Lea Michele)
If previous Glee sales figures are any indication — to date more than 15 million songs have been digitally downloaded and over 5 million albums sold — I have a feeling this disc will do fairly well.
Will you be buying a copy?! Allow me to rephrase: How many copies will you be buying?
Yesterday Cory attended Op’s Halloween Treat for Kids for the Boys & Girls Club. These pics are super cute of him helping the kids with their pumpkins and playing with them.

TORONTO — Canadian Gleeks will be happy.
“Glee” star Cory Monteith is to host the 25th annual Gemini Awards, organizers said Monday.
“My mom is so excited! I hope that I can make my fellow Canadians proud!” Monteith, who plays Finn Hudson on the popular Fox dramedy, said on news of his hosting duties at Canada’s TV awards to air live on Nov. 13 from Toronto.
The Geminis will air on Global Television, which also airs “Glee” in simulcast on Tuesday nights, and the Showcase cable channel.
Monteith was born in Calgary and raised in Victoria, British Columbia, and enjoyed film credits that include “Final Destination 3” and “Deck The Halls” before finding overnight success on “Glee.”
The CBS/CTV drama “Flashpoint” leads the field for this year’s Canadian TV awards with 15 nominations.
Show to air live on Nov. 13 from Toronto.
Glee co-star Mark Salling did an interview with 102.7 KIIS FM’s Jojo Wright and said the following about all the uproar surrounding the cover shoot for GQ his co-stars did:
Personally, I think it’s not a big deal. … Lea has every right to do that.
I mean, come on! We’re obviously not in high school. It’s tongue-in-cheek that we’re in high school, so whatevs … There’s more important things to worry about in the world.
And speaking of Mark .. his cd release party is tonight! Congrats to him! If you want to hear his music go to his official site.
