“Glee” star Lea Michele to sing at Super Bowl

I am so excited about this!

Not only will Lea Michele be starring in a “Glee” Thriller-themed post-Super Bowl episode, she’ll also be singing before the big game.

She has signed on to belt out “America the Beautiful” at the start of the Super Bowl on February 6.

As previously announced, Christina Aguilera will sing the national anthem.

After the Super Bowl game, the cast of “Glee” will perform a mash-up version of Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” as part of special episode of the series. It is said to be the most expensive episode in the 18 month history of “Glee.”

The annual Super Bowl is traditionally the most-watched event on U.S. television, drawing more than 100 million viewers.

SAG Awards: Most Improved beauty look

LA Times
by Melissa Magsaysay

Don’t get me wrong, I think Lea Michele is gorgeous and always looks appropriate on the red carpet. But at tonight’s SAG Awards she looks especially fresh, youthful and glowing. It seems like she chopped her hair a bit and grew out her bangs and left her locks to flow in a few loose curls, which suits her age and look perfectly.

Her makeup also looked really clean and pretty and no wonder, her makeup artist Melanie Inglessis was inspired by a 1970’s Bianca Jagger — a great reference for Lea Michele considering her dramatically dark hair and gorgeous brown eyes.

Inglessis started with Teint Miracle Lit From Within foundation from Lancome and YSL blush in Coral Sand. On her eyes, she swept Lancome’s 5 Pan Palette in Mauve Cherie and Ombre Magnetique in Ultra Lavande onto the lids. And Le Stylo waterproof eyeliner in Prune was applied to the lash line to continue the cool violet tones.

Her lips were left fairly sparse with just a touch of color in Lancome’s Pale Lip in order to keep her eyes a focus.

Glee Goes Gruesome for ‘Thriller’

Costumed and covered in gruesome zombie makeup, the Glee cast is hardly recognizable as they gnash their teeth and perform a jerky dance across a football field for the big Feb. 6 post-Super Bowl extravaganza.

Joined by sexy blue-haired cheerleaders, the group will take on the Michael Jackson’s classic “Thriller” video as a mashup with the Yeah Yeah Yeahs’s “Heads Will Roll.”

The episode, at between $3 and $5 million the most expensive to date, will focus on the growing tension between the Glee club and the football team.

“You can never re-create something as incredible as ‘Thriller,’ ” Lea Michele tells Entertainment Weekly. “We’re making it our own.”

The cast of ‘New Year’s Eve’ gets bigger

January 27, 2011 | posted by Ali | category: New Year's Eve  |  No Comments

So it seems like the rumors are true as more and more cast members are announced for the Garry Marshall film “New Year’s Eve”. The cast is to include Lea along with Halle Berry, Jessica Biel, Abigail Breslin, Robert De Niro, Zac Efron, Ashton Kutcher, Sarah Jessica Parker, Michelle Pfeiffer, Hilary Swank, Sofia Vergara, Jon Bon Jovi and Seth Meyers.

The movie tells intertwining stories of a group of New Yorkers as they navigate their way through bittersweet drama and romance over the course of New Year’s Eve.

Bon Jovi is playing — here’s a stretch — a successful rock star who once dumped Berry’s character of a caterer but now finds himself face to face with again at a party.

Meyers will play a broke dad who wants his wife (Biel) to deliver the first baby of the year in order to win a $25,000 reward and finds himself in a heated competition.
