Glee star Cory Monteith has revealed that he saw the 1996 John Travolta movie Broken Arrow 23 times in the theater. “Me and one friend went over and over again and watched this movie. Sometimes we paid and sometimes we didn’t,” he tells Ellen DeGeneres on today’s show. “We would yell the lines of the movie at the screen, and people would be leaving and calling us names. When I met him [John Travolta] at the Super Bowl, I was like, ‘I have to tell you something. I saw Broken Arrow 23 times,’ which he was in with Christian Slater. And he was like, ‘Really, wow.’ He was super excited.” If you can’t remember this movie — and that was the goal for most who saw it — watch the trailer below. I recall despising Travolta’s performance when I watched it in theaters (though I did buy the movie’s soundtrack afterward), but viewing the preview now, I’m thinking my taste for the awesomely bad had just not yet been fully acquired. I think I need to revisit.

Cory Monteith Feels “Proud” To Be Part Of Glee

Cory Monteith feels honored to be a part of Glee, because of the kind of issues the show covers.

“I feel proud to be a part of a show that opens and encourages dialog about sexuality and teen issues,” said the 28-year-old, who plays the role of Finn Hudson in the musical TV series.

“And I think an important part of that is to challenge people’s points of view – to help people see their own situations in a new light,” Monteith added.

The actor and singer also teased about an upcoming storyline for his Glee character. “Finn has a lot of love triangle-ish stuff coming up,” he shared. “I actually think at this point it’s more of a love octagon.

“But figuring out where he stands with Rachel is absolutely something to be expected through the end of season two.”

‘Glee’ surpasses Elvis for most Billboard Hot 100 singles; Lady Gaga has 1,000th No. 1 single

The act with the most songs on the Billboard Hot 100 chart isn’t the Beatles, Elvis or Michael Jackson. It’s the cast of “Glee.”

In just 18 months of appearing on the charts, the Fox TV series has set the record for the most songs on the Billboard chart in the chart’s 52-year history.

This week, “Glee” debuts six songs on the chart, giving them 113 songs in total — five more than the now second-place Elvis Presley, who had 108.

Lady Gaga also makes history on the chart this week; her new song, “Born This Way,” becomes its 1,000th No. 1 song.

The Grammy winner calls the milestone the “greatest honor of my career.”

Cory Monteith Says ‘Glee’ Has Been Daunting

Fanbolt

Cory Monteith, who plays Finn in the TV musical drama series Glee, had limited song and dance experience compared with his co-stars when he joined the show, which he admits was daunting.

He said: “It’s been a great opportunity to learn how to sing and dance. I’ve never done anything like this before. It has also been a challenge performing with seasoned Broadway performers next to me.”

Although he has dad to work harder than some of his co-stars to master the musical aspect of the show, Cory loves working on ‘Glee’ and wants to keep his role for as long as he can.

He added: “One of the reasons I got into acting was because it’s so fly-by-night.

“I never knew what was going to happen. Now all of a sudden I know I’m going to be in Los Angeles for the next two years. It’s great.

“I’ll do anything the show will have me do. I’ll do movies, I’ll do as many seasons as they’ll have me.”
